Your Privacy Choices
Plain-language summary
Capsure does not sell your data and does not share it for targeted advertising. This page explains your opt-out rights under U.S. privacy laws, how to exercise them, and how we handle the Global Privacy Control browser signal.
1. Your right to opt out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act / Consumer Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA), and similar U.S. state laws, you have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information and the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
2. What we do (and don't do)
We do not sell your personal information for money or any other valuable consideration.
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
We do not use third-party advertising pixels, analytics trackers, or marketing cookies that would constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under applicable law.
Because we neither sell nor share personal information in the ways covered by these opt-out rights, there is nothing for you to opt out of at this time with respect to those specific practices. However, you have additional privacy rights — including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data — described below and in our full Privacy Policy.
3. How to exercise your rights
To exercise any privacy right — access, correction, deletion, portability, or any opt-out rights listed on this page — you can:
- Email us at [email protected] with your name and the right you wish to exercise.
- If you are a Host or Affiliate with an account, visit dash.capsureapp.com/settings/privacy for self-serve options.
- Click "Cookie Preferences" in the footer of any Capsure page to manage cookie settings, including the functional affiliate-attribution cookie.
We will confirm your request within 10 business days and fulfil it within 45 days (with one 45-day extension on notice).
4. Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser transmits a Sec-GPC: 1 header or if navigator.globalPrivacyControl === true, we will treat it as an opt-out of any sale, sharing, and targeted-advertising processing for the applicable jurisdiction. No additional action is required when you use GPC.
5. California rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the following rights:
- Right to Know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients.
- Right to Delete: request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to statutory exceptions.
- Right to Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Portability: request a portable copy of personal information collected in the preceding 12 months.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale and Sharing: as noted above, we do not sell or share personal information. Nothing to opt out of at this time.
- Right to Limit Sensitive Personal Information: as noted in our Privacy Policy, we do not use SPI beyond the purposes allowed by § 1798.121. Nothing to limit at this time.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: see § 8 below.
You may designate an authorized agent to exercise CCPA rights on your behalf. We will require written proof of authorization. Contact [email protected].
6. Minnesota rights (MCDPA, Minn. Stat. ch. 325O)
Minnesota residents have the right to confirm whether we process personal data, access it, delete it, correct it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. We do not engage in targeted advertising or such profiling. Contact [email protected] to exercise any right or to appeal a decision.
7. Other state rights
Residents of Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Texas (TDPSA), Utah (UCPA), and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have substantially the same rights described above. Contact [email protected].
8. Non-discrimination
Capsure will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right. This means we will not deny you the Service, charge you a different price, or provide a lower quality of Service because you exercised a right under applicable law.
